Cooking Classes

Take a private cooking class with Yael in the comfort of your own kitchen. Each class is completely customized to your individual needs, and you will walk away with effective techniques & tips for creating delicious meals at home.

Classes are available for individuals, couples, or in packages for deeper learning. A typical class will be about 2-3 hours. You will keep all of the grocery items used as well as the delicious food we create together. Cooking classes are also available for large groups and parties/events. Inquire with specifics for cost estimate.

Sweets & Treats

Learn how to make plant-based versions of your favorite desserts. We'll explore how to substitute for eggs, milk & butter in a variety of baked goods, with a focus on seasonal ingredients & recipes to satisfy your sweet tooth all year round.

A Taste of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine from India that aims to prevent disease by bringing the body into balance. In Ayurveda, food & diet are invaluable tools for nourishing the body and promoting health. In this workshop, you will learn more about the history of Ayurveda, and discover the extraordinary flavors & unique techniques used in several classic Ayurvedic dishes such as Kitchari, Coconut Lentil Dal, Fresh Mint Chutney, and Chai-Spiced Ladoos (sweet energy balls).

Pickling 101 

Learn about the history of food preservation, the associated health benefits, and the differences between pickling & fermentation. You will make four delicious types of pickles including Sour Dill Cukes, Quick-Pickled Red Onions, Escabeche (spicy Mexican vegetables) & Home-made Sauerkraut.

 Homemade pickles make the perfect snack, accompaniment to any dish, or thoughtful gift. Included are all of the ingredients used in the four kinds of pickles you will create, as well as mason jars, recipes, and follow-up instructions.
